Pull Ahead of Your Competition by Leaping at Your Customers with an Enhanced Google Place Listing.
If you wanted to stand out from your competition a few years back, you had to dig pretty deep into that wallet and create a half or full page ad in the Yellow Pages with a year long contract.
Google now does this either free or on the CHEAP!
Adding coupons to your listing is a great way to share new specials and discounts with customers. Your customers can print out and use these when they visit.
And by default coupons are also set to a mobile format. So when someone visits your Google place page on their phone, they’ll see the coupon on their phone.
Pretty cool huh?
You can also post a quick message to your Google Place page. It works like a mini twitter, or Facebook, but is for your business.
You may want to share recent updates or specials with customers. This allows you to further connect with them the moment they need your goods or services.
Here’s a few sample posts you can make:
Specials: Free wings tonight from 4-6 and $3 drafts!
-Posted 4 hours before the afternoon special
Events: Come to the “Birthday Celebration of Jerry Grant” from 9-12pm
-Posted 5 hours prior to the event, linking to the facebook event page
New Products: Have you tried our new fish tacos. Everyone says they’re so tasty!
To really stand out, you can add what’s called a Google Tag. Tags enhance your listing on Google’s search results with a little yellow tag, and highlight important info you want customers to see.
Tags can be setup in under 5 minutes and you can track the performance in the dashboard. Also, you only pay flat fee of $25/month which you can cancel any time.
Your tag can highlight a coupon for new customers, a video about your store, or even a link to your menu. Whatever is most important about your business, tags will make sure it stands out.
Google is also experimenting with something called Google Boost which really makes your business stand out on Google. And you’ll only pay when your ad gets clicked on.
Currently, select cities have access to use Google boost, but most likely this will be nationwide very soon.
Google is constantly updating and improving ways local business owners can connect with their customers.
My Google Places management service ensures your listing is on the cutting edge of what Google has to offer. Whether that’s creating coupons, writing posts, and recommending smart ideas to upgrade to tags or some other form of advertising your company can benefit from.
